NEW COVA PARTNERSHIP IN MONTECARLO

The partnership between two premium brands, Disaronno and Pasticceria Cova, is proceeding nicely. The visibility in Paris last April gave way during the summer to the Disaronno Velvet Batida White Party in Monaco (Montecarlo) at the new Cova Monaco Palais de La Plage pastry shop. This new event made for the first step toward Christmastime collaborations in the Principality.

ILLVA SARONNO AT THE DUGAS CLUB EXPERT FAIR

It’s time again for the Dugas Club Expert fair, a trade show attracting approximately 1,500 independent cellarmen and lots of trade customers and final consumers. The ILLVA booths made a big hit, with tastings and other activities for Disaronno & Disaronno Velvet, Engine, The Busker, Marsala Florio.

THE BUSKER AT DUBLIN AIRPORT 

The Busker came in with a perfect landing at the Terminal 2 duty free store of the Dublin airport last August. Making the most of a video column, a branded whiskey barrel, glorifier displays and a full month of tastings, The Busker whiskey enjoyed a distinct visibility for the first time ever at the Irish airport.

SUMMER TOUR ENGINE  ENGINE SHIFTS INTO SECOND GEAR WITH LAUNCH OF ACTIVITY PLAN IN SOUTHERN FRANCE!

Last summer, ENGINE the exquisitely Italian organic gin that has been revolutionizing the gin universe for nearly a year traveled along the roads of southeastern France aboard a vintage FIAT 500 complete with iconic Engine upholstery. With Brand Ambassador Jeff Spinazzola behind the wheel, it hit more than 20 French night spots popularizing its unique lifestyle to the beat of Dj Set and ultra refreshing cocktails. All in all, this was a great adventure for a brand, distributed by DUGAS, that aims to make France one of its key markets. Present here for a year now, it promptly became all the rage thanks to its cool qualities. Yet mostly to the atypical, nonconformist mood it generates.

JFK – DISARONNO & DISARONNO VELVET HPP UNITS

Our HPP (High Profile Promotion) became operative last June at Terminal 1 of JFK in New York. We chose this airport due to the intense passenger traffic and to the great number of European and international airline companies (Air France, ITA, Lufthansa, Swiss, etc.) landing there. Thanks to a stunningly high-impact display, the operation has proven to be a very effective way to enter U.S. duty free stores and so begin making a serious dent with our Disaronno Originale and Velvet liqueurs at major airports along the northeastern coast of the United States, a goal to reach by the end of the year.

FLORIO CELLARS HOST CONCOURS MONDIAL DE BRUXELLES

For the first time ever, the Florio Cellars in Marsala hosted the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in particular reference to the fortified wine section. The contest attracted to Sicily more than 75 international tasters and journalists, all of whom we had the pleasure to have as guests for a technical tasting led by our wine expert Tommaso Maggio and for a dinner accompanied by our new Florio line of wines. In addition, always within the sphere of expressly designed activities, we had them try one of our prime reserves: AEGUSA 1964, a highlight wine in the “Marsala Old Vintages” Masterclass led by sommelier Eros Teboni (world’s top sommelier in 2018). Likewise for the occasion, the Italian RAI-TV 1 program “È sempre mezzogiorno” conducted by Antonella Clerici dedicated a show to the contest and to our Florio Marsala wines.

THE BUSKER MAIN SPONSOR OF COMO WHISKY WEEK

The recent edition of COMO WHISKY WEEK, which took place on October 9th, attracted a big crowd: more than 1,000 people showed up for the occasion, double the number of last year’s event, including a lot of women. In the bar area the visitors had the chance to taste The Busker range of whiskeys and to try the Buster Paloma cocktail too, all against the magnificent backdrop of Villa Geno on Lake Como. As for our own special guest – namely, bartender Alberto Corvi of The Doping Club in Milan – he presented four different drinks made with The Busker. Also, during the day of the event, The Busker hosted a most particular tasting held out on the lake in a boat.
